German counsel
that understands the Mittelstand.

Owner-managed companies and international investors need more than a rotating cast of associates. BRANDT & FALK combines depth in eight practice areas with the accessibility and clear fee logic of a boutique. One fixed partner runs your mandate — from the first call to the closing.

How we see it
“Depth comes from focus, not from size. We take on a mandate only if we can run it with the care it needs — and then a partner runs it personally.”
Dr. Konstantin Brandt · Managing Partner
§ II — Why a boutique

Between Big Law and the local generalist.

The gap in the German market

Large international firms are built for listed groups — high rates, changing contacts, the work delegated down the pyramid. Local generalists know their clients personally but reach their limits in complex shareholder, restructuring or tax matters. For Mittelstand companies and their foreign counterparties, a gap remains in between.

Our answer

  • One fixed partner runs the mandate end to end.
  • Eight practice areas in depth — not “a bit of everything”.
  • Fee models and hourly-rate ranges published openly.
  • Industry knowledge: machinery, automotive, IT, construction, MedTech, energy.
  • First response within one business day; work in English or German.
§ III — International

20+ jurisdictions — through independent local partner firms.

For cross-border projects we coordinate with independent partner law firms on the ground — from Austria and Poland to the USA and Singapore. You keep a single point of contact at BRANDT & FALK; local law remains with lawyers admitted in the respective jurisdiction. Our own admission is in Germany.

§ IV — Doing business in Germany

Entering the German market, structured.

FDI screening under AWG/AWV, forming a GmbH, acquiring a Mittelstand target, GDPR, posting of workers, distribution agreements — our guide for inbound investors is being built and will grow continuously.
